This addendum adds additional information to the original ITB document.
CHANGES TO ITB DOCUMENT:
Section 26 13 19 – Medium Voltage Vacuum Interrupter Switchgear Sub-section 2-2.20 Ground Test Device
Delete Section 26 13 19, Paragraph 2-2.20 in its entirety and replace it with the following paragraph:
2-2.20. Ground-Test Device. A grounding, phasing, and testing device shall be furnished. The device shall be designed so that it can be inserted in the switchgear units in place of and in the same manner as the circuit breaker removable elements, to permit grounding either the bus or the feeder/generator, or to make connections to either the bus or the feeder for testing purposes. The device shall be a simple manual device in compliance with IEEE C37.20.6 to effectively ground either the bus or the feeder when the device is inserted in the unit. The device shall be manually connected using cables or bus bar provided by the manufacturer. Complete assembly of the fully rated ground connections shall be via a hot stick or with the ground and test cart removed from the cubicle. The device shall have momentary and four-second current-carrying capacities at least equal to those of the circuit breaker. The device shall connect solidly to the ground bus in the unit when in the operating position. No provisions for automatic tripping of the device shall be included. The device shall be provided with suitable windows or a transparent enclosure and barriers to permit visual observation of the positions of all grounding connections.
External connections for testing shall be made using a hot-stick and voltage testers on the face of the device. The ports shall be provided with closing shutters or covers.
