About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid issued by Long Beach Utilities on June 15, 2023, for the furnishing of safety shoes to the municipality. The addendum addresses a clarification question submitted by a potential bidder regarding the requirement for a local brick-and-mortar store location where employees can try on footwear. The addendum confirms that while a shoemobile service is acknowledged as value-added, bid evaluations will be based on the availability of a physical brick-and-mortar store where employees can procure safety footwear at any time during standard business hours. Proposers are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning it with their bid submission.
No additional pricing terms, award dates, contract duration, or renewal options are specified in this addendum document. The addendum serves solely to clarify an evaluation criterion for the safety shoes procurement and does not provide information regarding set-asides, incumbent vendors, funding sources, or other financial terms related to the contract.

NOTICE TO PROPOSERS
ADDENDUM NO. 1
The following changes and/or additions shall be made to the original Invitation to Bid to Furnish Safety Shoes. Please acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing and returning with your bid.
As of June 15, 2023:
The following are answers to questions submitted:
Question 1: It’s requested that a local store be available for employees can try on footwear. I wanted to ask if it would be acceptable to offer our shoemobile service on a regular basis instead of a brick and mortar store?
Answer 1: Although a shoemobile is value-added, per the ITB, bid evaluations are based on having a brick and mortar store available for our employees to procure safety footwear at any time during standard business hours.
Please take a moment to review these changes when developing your bid.
