About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to the bidding documents for a Liquid Emulsion Polymer procurement issued by the Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District for the Nine Springs Wastewater Treatment Plant, dated May 12, 2026. The addendum revises two critical timelines in the original Request for Bid. The Notice of Intent deadline for participation in full-scale performance trials has been extended from Friday, May 8, 2026 to Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Additionally, the full-scale trial period has been rescheduled from May 25 through June 12, 2026 to June 1 through June 19, 2026, with test results still due by June 29, 2026. Sealed bids remain due by 11:00 AM CST on Friday, July 10, 2026, at the District office located at 1610 Moorland Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53713, with contract award anticipated by August 21, 2026. The contract covers three separate polymer applications (Centrifuge Polymer, Digested Sludge GBT Polymer, and Waste Activated Sludge GBT Polymer) with estimated annual production volumes of 300, 9,125, and 8,760 dry tons respectively, and a 24-month contract term from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2028.
All bidders must acknowledge receipt and acceptance of this addendum by signing and submitting it with their bid proposal; bids submitted without the signed addendum may be deemed nonresponsive. No specific budget allocation, set-asides, or incumbent vendor information is identified in the addendum. Bidders are required to calculate pricing on a lump-sum basis for the 24-month contract period by multiplying polymer dosages determined during trials by annual production volumes and unit cost per pound, with unit pricing required for furnishing and delivery to the treatment plant. The Madison Metropolitan Sewerage District is exempt from federal and state taxes and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive any technicality. For additional information, bidders should contact Jacob Kositzke, Process and Regulatory Compliance Engineer.
