Addendum Summary
This is Addendum No. 1 to Solicitation ITB FFS 25 26 55 issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services for the procurement of one (1) Telescopic Boom Lift or Equivalent. The solicitation specifies two acceptable models: the JLG 860SJ HC3 High-Capacity Telescopic Boom Lift or the GENIE S-85 HF High-Floatation Telescopic Boom Lift, or equivalent models suitable for forestry operations with primary use in harvesting seed cones. Both models must include 4WD capability, foam-filled turf and sand tires (41X18LLX22.5) or air-filled floatation tires, restricted platform capacity of 1,000 lbs, and unrestricted platform capacity with a minimum of 500 lbs. The original response due date was November 10, 2025, with this addendum issued November 13, 2025.
This addendum revises Appendix I specifications to correct platform capacity information for both lift models. The initial specifications incorrectly listed unrestricted platform capacity at 750 lbs for both machines; the revision specifies actual manufacturer capacities of 500 lbs for the JLG 860SJ HC3 and 600 lbs for the GENIE S-85 HF, establishing 500 lbs as the minimum acceptable unrestricted capacity. All equipment must include the manufacturer's standard warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is a tax-exempt state government entity (Certificate No. 85-801269347C-2, effective through April 30, 2026).

Question Answer
In Appendix 1, it states on Item # 5 for both the JLG 860SJ HC3 and the Genie S-85 HF specifications:
5. PLATORM CAPACITY (UN-RESTRICTED) 750lbs
This information is incorrect for both machines.
The Platform Capacity for the JLG 860SJ HC3 model is 500 lbs.
The Platform Capacity for the Genie S-85 HF model is 600 lbs.
Please refer to Revised Appendix I – Specs.
The specs of on Appendix1 and the two listed machines do not meet the requirements. The Platform Capacity of restricted and non-restricted is different than Appendix1 requirements. Please clarify.
Please see the Department’s answer to Question #1.
For the Requirements of the "Genie S-85 HF" unit, as noted in Appendix I, Item 5 Platform Capacity (Un-restricted) is 660 lbs. (not 750 lbs. as noted).
Is this acceptable?
Please see the Department’s answer to Question #1.
