About this file
This document is Addendum 1 for Request for Proposal (RFP) #251-26-128 issued by Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) for School-Based Mental Health (Co-Located) Services. The RFP seeks licensed clinical providers such as LCMHCs, LCSWs, and LMFTs to deliver mental health services to students in grades K-12. The program will provide mental health services within school settings, utilizing Google Meet for teletherapy sessions, with no dedicated budget from WCPSS. Providers will be responsible for billing clients and are expected to offer services in a confidential school space. The district anticipates awarding contracts to multiple vendors and requires weekly activity reports, with a program evaluator monitoring progress through parent, staff, and student surveys, mental health goal tracking, and academic progress assessments.
Vendors must provide their current pricing structure, preferably hourly rates, and are not eligible for start-up or ongoing funding from WCPSS. Spanish language capability is preferred in addition to English. The program stems from an increased need to provide accessible mental health services that minimize student instructional time disruption. Key stakeholders include district staff, school staff, parents, and providers. All vendors and participating schools will be required to attend a mandatory training and onboarding process to ensure understanding of referral, evaluation, treatment, reporting, and discharge processes. The RFP emphasizes a strategic approach to mental health services, focusing on case identification, treatment, illness prevention, and health promotion for students.
