About this file
This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation to Bid (ITB FFS 25 26 56) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for sandblasting, undercoating, and painting services on up to 15 Freightliner transport truck beds located at the Lake City Central Shop in Lake City, Florida. The addendum, dated January 7, 2026, provides answers to written questions submitted by prospective bidders and includes photographs of the truck beds to be serviced. The original sealed bid submission deadline is January 14, 2026, at 5:00 PM Eastern Time, with public bid opening scheduled for January 15, 2026, at 9:30 AM. All services must be completed by September 1, 2026. Vendors must be located within 50 miles of the Lake City Central Shop and capable of beginning work within two weeks of truck readiness notification. Bidders are required to submit three references from similar projects completed within the last five years.
Key clarifications provided in this addendum address operational requirements: no forklift or crane will be available at the pickup location, so vendors must provide their own loading equipment; photographs of the truck beds are provided on pages 3-15 for bidder review; and a "No" designation on the Official Bid Tabulation Sheet indicates a bidder is nonresponsive and did not meet one or more mandatory requirements. Evaluation will be based on the lowest grand total price. Vendors must meet qualification requirements including E-Verify certification, general liability insurance of $1,000,000 per occurrence, automobile liability coverage of $300,000, and workers' compensation insurance. A liquidated damages clause of $100 per calendar day applies for work not completed by the fixed completion date. A one percent MyFloridaMarketPlace transaction fee will be automatically deducted from all payments.
