About this file
This document is an addendum to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) solicitation No. FWC 23/24-15 for "BABCOCK RANCH PRESERVE ROAD WORK". The addendum provides questions and answers related to the project, which involves supplying, delivering, spreading, and grading DOT certified shell road base material on the Babcock Ranch Preserve. The bid due date is 3:00 PM ET on Monday, October 30, 2023. The addendum addresses various topics such as the need for permits, material testing and certification requirements, density/compaction testing, submission of Attachment B, surety bond companies, and responsibility for road repairs. The procurement is open to registered vendors in the MyFloridaMarketPlace system and with SunBiz.
The pricing terms require the contractor to be responsible for any damage to roads or infrastructure during the project. FWC will fill one deep rut to allow safe access for dump trucks, but the contractor is expected to video the road conditions prior to the work starting. The contractor will be provided a key or combination lock for access to the site, and must ensure the gate is closed and locked at the end of each work day. A contractor's license is not required for this project.
