About this file

This Addendum 1 – Q&A document is issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, Florida Forest Service in response to written questions submitted regarding Invitation to Bid FFS 26 27 34 for 2026–2027 Seed Harvesting, Extraction, Processing, and Associated Work at Munson Seed Orchard in Milton, Florida. The solicitation seeks competitive bids for labor services related to seed harvesting, extraction, processing, and associated work, with an anticipated harvest period running from October 5, 2026, through December 23, 2026. The Department clarified that it is seeking temporary labor only and does not require contractors to supply seeds or other agricultural items, as these will be provided on Division property. The addendum was issued on August 17, 2026.

The primary clarification in this addendum addresses contractor responsibilities, specifying that contractors must provide their own personal protective equipment (PPE) for each laborer, with no other materials or supplies to be furnished by the contractor. This indicates a labor-only contract structure where the Department retains control of materials and resources. Additional questions regarding the addendum should be directed to the Procurement Officer at Bids@FDACS.gov or (850) 617-7180. Protests must be filed in accordance with Florida Statutes Section 120.57(3) with the Department's Agency Clerk at The Holland Building, 600 South Calhoun Street, Tallahassee, Florida 32399.
