About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for Phytoplankton Identification Services. The contract will have a term of three years and requires the successful bidder to identify, enumerate, and measure phytoplankton organisms in samples collected by DWR in the San Francisco Bay-Delta Estuary. Up to 280 samples per year may need to be analyzed, with around 70 samples per shipment. The requested turnaround time for sample analyses is 90 days.
The IFB pertains to the state of California, with the contract to be performed in the jurisdictions of Sacramento County and Sacramento City. The addendum provides answers to questions submitted by prospective bidders, including that bidders cannot propose using a local contractor to collect and ship the samples to their laboratory outside of California.
