About this file
This is Addendum One to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #04A7154 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for trash services in Alameda, Solano, Contra Costa, and San Mateo Counties. The addendum addresses nine questions from potential bidders regarding service requirements, including clarifications that the sites are not exempt from recycling and organics laws, Caltrans has taken steps toward zero waste, and specific container size substitutions at various locations including the Carquinez Bridge Toll Plaza are not permitted.
The current contractor is Bay Cities Refuse Service, Inc. with a contract amount of $310,998.00, and Caltrans has budgeted $395,000.00 for this project. The estimated quantities referenced in the bid documents refer to the number of pickups rather than tonnage amounts. Questions about the addendum should be directed to Contract Analyst Tiaja Watson at the provided email address.
