About this file

This document is an Addendum to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services Division of Engineering and Contract Administration for the KASTOW - Powell County #003 project for the Energy & Environment Cabinet Division of Oil and Gas. The addendum includes a list of questions and answers related to the plugging and reclamation procedures for the wells, invoicing and payment terms, and the timeframe for completion of the work and release of the performance bond. Specifically, the standard cement requirement is Portland Type 1/2 Class A Cement, with variations approved only in special cases. Once a well is plugged and reclaimed, the contractor can invoice for that well, and the Commonwealth will pay invoices as the work is completed. The performance bond will be good for two years after the final payment. Contractors have 24 months to plug and seed the wells, and an additional year to establish vegetation.

The document does not provide information on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements or sources, or any other salient financial details related to the contract opportunity.
