About this file

This is Addendum #1 for the Hermosa Lagoon Expansion Project, issued by the Town of Hermosa in coordination with the South Dakota Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources (DANR), with the project identified by CWSRF No. C461278-03. The addendum provides critical updates and clarifications to the original bid documents, including a numbering system for bid tab forms, specifications for utilities and infrastructure components, and details on project requirements. Key modifications include clarifications on liquidated damages, materials testing, utility connections, pond liner specifications, electrical and signal conduit standards, pump station controls, and stockpile area management.

The addendum outlines specific technical requirements for the project, such as a minimum of 1 inch of bentonite for pond lining, electrical conduit specifications, and stockpile area guidelines. Notable details include two stockpile areas totaling approximately 4,000 square yards, with embankment restrictions of 15 feet height and a 3:1 horizontal to vertical slope ratio. The control panel for the pump station will be provided by the Town, and alternative pump manufacturers may be considered without pre-approval if duty points are similar to the specified requirements. The project includes comprehensive infrastructure work involving manholes, piping, earthwork, and associated accessories, with specific attention to materials, installation, and environmental considerations.
