ITEM 1: ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
QUESTION #1
When building the access roads, how will we measure the density with the elevation of the water?
ANSWER #1
The Contractor shall be responsible for controlling the groundwater during construction to meet the density requirements for the culverts and driveways installation. Please see geotechnical report for further information on the subsurface investigations completed for the project.
QUESTION #2
Are you going to have coverage over the RCP with the flap gate? Based on the profile view it appears you will not have enough coverage over the pipe.
ANSWER #2
As shown on sheets C-401 through C-404, the cover over the elliptical culverts is approximately 1.5 feet with the minimum cover requirement being 0.75 feet.
QUESTION #3
Are there any clearing limits for the two roads? What are we allowed to clear in order to build the roads?
ANSWER #3
The clearing required for the driveways, D1 and D2, shall be limited to the extents of the side slopes to tie into existing grade as shown on sheet C-518.
