About this file
The document is an Addendum 1 issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department) regarding Invitation to Bid No. ITB FS 21 22 103-REBID for a Matrix-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization - Time-of-Flight Mass-Spectrometer (MALDI-TOF) instrument. The Department seeks to obtain competitive bids for the outright purchase and delivery of the MALDI-TOF instrument and associated food safety related libraries. The instrument must fit a laboratory bench-top configuration and the weight must not exceed 300 lbs. This Addendum provides answers to questions received, clarifying that a weight slightly over 300 lbs. will not automatically disqualify the bid.
The Invitation to Bid is open to vendors across the state of Florida, including in Leon County and Tampa City. Vendors from outside of Florida are required to submit a written legal opinion per Section 287.084 of the Florida Statutes regarding the state's based business preference. The Department does not provide legal guidance and vendors are advised to confer with their own legal counsel. There are no other details provided regarding pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or contract term.
