About this file

This document is an Addendum 1 issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS or Department) regarding an Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the outright purchase and delivery of 3 new Laboratory High Plume Exhaust Fans. The addendum provides answers to vendor questions, clarifying that the vendor is not required to install the exhaust fans and correcting the CFM and static pressure details for the specified models. This is for a new installation, not a replacement. The ITB covers jurisdictions in Leon County and Tampa City, Florida.

The addendum indicates that all other terms, conditions, and specifications of the original ITB will remain the same. Vendors are instructed to direct any questions regarding this addendum to the FDACS Purchasing Office. The ITB does not provide any details on pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements, or other salient commercial information.

ADDENDUM 1

TO: VENDORS

FROM: CHANNCEN BELL, PROCUREMENT OFFICER

RE: INVITATION TO BID NO. ITB GS 22 23 132

LABORATORY HIGH PLUME EXHAUST FANS

This addendum is to provide answers to questions received in reference to this invitation to bid.

Question / Answer

1. Is the vendor required to install the exhaust fans in the future?

The vendor is not required to install the exhaust fans in the future.

2. I see that VK-H-14-8 is listed twice. Just want to make sure that there is not a typo in one of the model #s. Is this a typo?

The VK-H-14-8 model number is specified for (2) exhaust fans EXH-0113A and EXH- 0113B. Total of three (3) exhaust fans as shown in fan Schedule

3. To make sure. For model CUE-100-VG the CFM requested is 750 and SP is 0.84?

Model H-14-8 CFM is 1300, SP 1.039?

The CFM and static pressure should be per the equipment schedule: 750 cfm and 0.7” s.p., and 1300 cfm and 1” s.p. Then the pressure drop across the manufacturer back draft damper should be added to listed static pressure

4. Will this be a new installation or replacement? If replacement can you provide the serial number of the current exhaust fan?

This is for a new installation.

This Addendum is hereby incorporated into and made a part of the above noted Invitation to Bid. All other terms, conditions and specifications of this Invitation to Bid will remain the same. For questions regarding this Addendum, please contact the Purchasing Office at email at Bids@FDACS.gov.
