About this file
This is an Addendum 1 to a lawn maintenance bid for Brevard County Fire Rescue, Florida, issued by the Purchasing Services department on December 17, 2025. The bid solicitation (B-6-26-12) requests contractor services for mowing, trimming, debris disposal, mulching, and irrigation inspection at thirty-three fire stations countywide. The addendum clarifies that properties are to be maintained in their current condition, with any additional cleanup beyond normal maintenance to be handled as separate estimates negotiated between the department and awarded vendor. The bid opening date and time remain Monday, December 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM. Upon award, the vendor will receive a purchase order rather than a formal contract, as this is structured as a term agreement.
The current contractor is First Pioneer Property Management Company LLC. The addendum addresses several prospective bidder inquiries regarding sprinkler systems, subcontracting requirements for irrigation work, and property conditions. Bidders are permitted to subcontract sprinkler system work if they lack the required license, provided they comply with Section 2 of the Scope of Work regarding subcontracting. Irrigation system locations are specified in Section 20 of the Scope of Work. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of Addendum 1 on their price sheet submission.

CLARIFICATION TO QUESTIONS RECEIVED:
Question 1: Who is the current contractor?
Answer: First Pioneer Property Management Company LLC.
Question 2: Please send the last contract with pricing.
Answer 2: There is no formal contract; this bid is a term agreement. Once the bid is awarded, the vendor will receive a purchase order. Please see below the Notice of Award from the previous bid.
Question 3: Did the last contract include the same fire rescue locations in this bid?
Answer: Yes, the last bid included the same locations.
Question 4: We noticed some of the properties need to be cleaned up before they can be maintained. Would that be a separate estimate, I assume we would only be expected to maintain the property in like condition to how its currently being maintained?
Answer: The properties are to be maintained in their current condition. If any additional cleanup is needed beyond normal maintenance, the department and the awarded vendor can discuss options, and that work would be handled as a separate estimate.
Question 5: Please provide us with the previous contract.
Answer: Refer to answer 2.
Question 6: Do the properties in question have sprinkler systems?
Answer: Refer to the Scope of Work Section 20- Irrigation Inspection, subsection (f) that list which locations have an irrigation system.
Question 7: Can I include a subcontract to do the sprinkler system if I don't have a license?
Answer: Refer the Scope of Work Section 2 – Subcontracting.
Please note that the bid opening date and time remains Monday December 22, 2025 @ 11:00 AM.
All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
Sincerely, Mary Bowers Purchasing Manager
