About this file

Addendum No. 1 is issued by the City of Charlotte's General Services Department for the Unspecified Roadway and Signal Construction Services-FY26A project (Project No. 269-2025-130). This addendum addresses a specific question regarding SP-48 Electronic Ball Markers for potential fiber communications cable installations. The document clarifies that Omni Marker II is acceptable for use, specifically the orange marker with a 101.4 KHz frequency. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the Execution of BID page's addenda acknowledgment section.

The addendum provides technical clarification for potential bidders, indicating that electronic ball markers may be used if fiber communications cable is installed, though the exact quantity and necessity are not predetermined at this stage. This document is part of the broader procurement process for an as-needed construction services contract that covers various infrastructure improvements, including traffic control, erosion control, drainage systems, and utility adjustments. The addendum reinforces the City of Charlotte's commitment to providing clear guidance to potential contractors and ensuring precise technical specifications are communicated throughout the bidding process.
