About this file

Addendum #1 for the City of Delta, Colorado's Directional Drilling project provides clarification and additional details for potential bidders on a municipal infrastructure improvement project. The addendum addresses various questions regarding utility work, including waterline installation and electrical conduit placement at multiple locations: Hartig Drive Alley, E 7th Street, West 5th Street, and Confluence Drive. The document outlines specific responsibilities for the contractor, such as calling in utility locates, and the city's provisions, including water availability, equipment storage, soil disposal, and bore pit filling. The project involves directional drilling for water lines ranging from 1" to 6" in length, with total base bid locations covering approximately 1,680 linear feet and optional alternate locations adding up to 2,000 linear feet.

The bid documents include a detailed Directional Drilling Bid Tab that breaks down location-specific requirements, including line sizes, lengths, number of pipes, materials (including Pure Core and HDPE SDR 13.5), and pressure testing specifications. The city has provided supplementary materials such as City Standards and Specifications, a Geotech report for Confluence Drive, a revised Bid Tab, and an Area Utilities Map. The addendum emphasizes that the information contained supersedes any previous documentation and must be acknowledged in submitted proposals. Soil conditions vary by location, with some areas described as having little to no rock and others consisting of Pit Run material, which may impact drilling complexity and equipment requirements.
