About this file

Addendum 1 for Solicitation 105-2024CSC is issued by Lenoir Community College for Custodial Services for the Cosmetology Department. The addendum documents questions and answers from a site visit, clarifying key details about the custodial services contract. The solicitation seeks a vendor to provide cleaning services for approximately 9,350 square feet, with work to be performed after 10:00 p.m. nightly and completed before 8:00 a.m. the next day. The bid opening is scheduled for March 18, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., and vendors are required to use OSHA-approved chemicals and have access to two storage closets.

The current contractor is Red Coats, with a previous contract value of $5,010.85 (excluding the new cosmetology lab). The addendum reveals that the area will receive new VCT flooring in the future, and Lenoir Community College staff will handle floor stripping, waxing, and exterior sidewalk cleaning. The vendor is responsible for daily cleaning tasks, including wiping down stations, cleaning under mats, and maintaining the designated areas. Deep cleaning is not explicitly required if the vendor completes all specified tasks in the Invitation for Bid (IFB) and this addendum.
