About this file
This document is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for a project titled "Tate's Hell State Forest RCW Habitat Improvement 2024-2025". The project involves mowing/mulching of vegetative materials around Red-cockaded Woodpecker (RCW) Clusters within Tate's Hell State Forest located in Franklin and Liberty Counties, Florida. The addendum provides answers to vendor questions regarding the contract period, equipment requirements, and the completion date. The anticipated contract period is upon execution of the formal contract through January 31, 2025, with all work to be completed by January 15, 2025. However, FDACS can extend the contract period, but no mechanical treatments or heavy equipment will be allowed within the clusters after March 1, 2025. The addendum also clarifies that a drum-style mulcher may be used in addition to the required rotary-style cutter if the project objectives can be met.
The ITB is seeking competitive bids for this project. No other pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, or funding details are provided in this addendum. Interested vendors must follow the protest procedures outlined in Section 120.57(3) of the Florida Statutes if they have any objections to the terms of the ITB.
