About this file
This document is a comprehensive set of engineering and construction drawings for the Machine Connections FIC Extrusion project at Gaston College, located at 7224 Wilkinson Blvd. in Belmont, North Carolina. The project is being designed by AeroRaq Engineering Inc., a Charlotte-based engineering services firm. The drawings cover multiple disciplines including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems for what appears to be a manufacturing or research facility focused on fiber extrusion technologies. The documents are dated June 1, 2025, with a project number of 01-2025007, and include detailed plans for equipment installations, power distribution, HVAC systems, compressed air lines, and electrical infrastructure.
The drawings provide extensive technical specifications for electrical panels, transformers, power distribution, conduit routing, and equipment connections across various voltage systems (120/208V and 480V). The electrical design includes multiple panel boards (DNH3, DNH4, DNL3, etc.), transformers ranging from 45 to 75 kVA, and detailed circuit mapping for different areas including the Reactor, Small Spin, Large Spin, and Chemical Storage areas. The mechanical plans show precise locations for equipment installations, ductwork, and rooftop mechanical units, while the plumbing drawings outline compressed air and water line configurations. The overall design emphasizes compliance with North Carolina building and electrical codes, with specific attention to installation requirements, support structures, and system integration.
