About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) issued by Union County, Georgia for a Union County Transfer Station Two-Ram Baler project. The addendum provides clarification on the desired specifications for the baler, including a solid uni-body sidewall construction, remote diagnostic capabilities, and compliance with CAT3 safety standards. The addendum also addresses various questions from potential bidders, such as the materials to be processed, the feeding mechanism, size requirements, and installation considerations. The RFP seeks a baler capable of handling a monthly volume of 250,000 tons of materials, including paper, cardboard, aluminum, steel cans, and plastics. The new baler will be installed in a new 50' x 60' building with access through a 15-foot tall door. Union County does not have a set budget for the project and is open to proposals from all qualified vendors.
The addendum does not provide specifics on pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, or funding requirements. It is focused on clarifying the technical requirements and addressing questions from potential bidders to ensure a successful procurement process.
