About this file
This document is an Addendum 1 to the Answers to Bidder Questions for the Michigan State Police's (MSP) Request for Proposal (RFP) #230000001461 for 105-Liter Ethanol Dry Gas .080 Canisters. The RFP is for the supply of gas cylinders for the MSP's use in PBT calibration training and evidential instruments across the state. The document addresses three questions from bidders regarding the anticipated date and quantity of the first order, the projected schedule and quantities of future orders, and the maximum quantity of cylinders expected to ship within the 21-day delivery period. In response, MSP states that they are unable to provide this information, as the historical ordering patterns of 100 cylinders 2-3 times per year are expected to change due to the deployment of new PBT calibration training and evidential instruments across the state, and they cannot predict the future usage rate.
The contract opportunity involves Ingham County and the City of Lansing as the relevant jurisdictions. No other pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding details, or other salient information is provided in this Addendum.

RFP #230000001461
Bidder Questions and Answers
ADDENDUM #1
Question #1:
Can MSP provide the anticipated date of first order and quantity of gas cylinders to be ordered?
Answer #1:
No. Gas cylinders were historically ordered 100 at a time, 2-3 times per year. With the deployment of new PBT calibration training and evidential instruments across the state we are unable to predict what the usage rate will be as compared to previous usage rates.
Question #2:
For the life of the contract, can MSP provide the projected schedule of future orders along with quantities to be ordered?
Answer #2:
No. Gas cylinders were historically ordered 100 at a time, 2-3 times per year as needed. Future gas orders will be made as needed, absent a set schedule. With the deployment of new PBT calibration training and evidential instruments across the state we are unable to predict what the usage rate will be as compared to previous usage rates.
Question #3:
Can MSP provide the maximum quantity of cylinders that would be expected to ship within the 21-day delivery period?
Answer #3:
No. Gas cylinders were historically ordered 100 at a time, 2-3 times per year as needed. With the deployment of new PBT calibration training and evidential instruments across the state we are unable to predict what the usage rate will be as compared to previous usage rates.
