About this file

This is Addendum #1 to RFP 23-10 issued by the Butts County Board of Commissioners in Georgia for Commercial and Residential Real Estate Services. The addendum, posted on May 3, 2023, provides clarifications to vendor questions regarding the disposition of county-owned properties. The county anticipates listing 13 residential properties for sale on the open market in "as-is" condition. Of these properties, 12 are vacant land lots and one contains a structure; all are titled under the Butts County Board of Commissioners. The RFP closing date is May 18, 2023, and there is no set date for when properties will be listed following contractor selection or timeline established for project completion.

The selected broker is responsible for all professional service costs including appraisals, title searches, and surveys. Brokers may utilize their own appraisal and mortgage companies. Commission compensation is calculated based solely on the final sale price of each property, with settlement to occur under the name of Butts County. Three references are required from bidding firms. All status updates, including monthly reports, may be conducted virtually. The county will not waive Worker's Compensation and Employer's Liability Insurance requirements regardless of contractor size. Award notification timing has not been determined at the time of this addendum.
