About this file

This is Addendum 1 for Bid #25028 Transit Bus Engine Replacement Project issued by the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County on January 7, 2025. The project involves the delivery of diesel engines to the Athens-Clarke County Transit Maintenance Division at 325 Pound Street, Athens, GA 30601, with a firm delivery deadline of June 20, 2025. The addendum clarifies the engine serial number for unit 764 as 74239042 and addresses questions about terms and conditions negotiations.

The addendum emphasizes that all FTA requirements must be met and are non-negotiable. Terms and conditions exceptions can be submitted with bid packages and will be negotiated during the contracting phase, initiated upon Notice of Intent to Award. Due to funding constraints, any engines delivered after June 20, 2025, will be rejected and returned to the supplier at no cost to the Unified Government of Athens-Clarke County. The addendum clarifies that COVID-19 related effects, supply chain constraints, and labor shortages do not extend the firm delivery deadline.
