About this file
This is Addendum 1 to RFB #2017-29, issued by Portage County, Wisconsin on May 2, 2017, regarding the procurement of patrol/tactical rifles for the Portage County Sheriff's Office. The addendum replaces Section 12 (Samples/Demonstrations) of the original bid documents with revised language governing sample submission and evaluation procedures.
Under the revised Section 12, the County may require bidders to submit samples for testing and verification against product specifications at no expense or obligation to the County. Samples requested after bids are opened must be delivered to the designated location within the timeframe specified in the request. The County will evaluate all submitted samples uniformly to determine conformance to bid specifications and will reject any samples failing to meet those specifications. Bidders will be notified in writing to retrieve rejected samples at their own expense within five working days of notification; samples not collected within the designated period will be disposed of at the County's discretion. Failure to deliver samples within the specified timeframe may result in bid disqualification.
