About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 1 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) for Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) #12A2296, covering on-call, as-needed services for Smart Controllers, Irrigation Systems, and Electrical Components Services. The solicitation involves providing labor, tools, equipment, and materials to diagnose and repair WeatherTRAK smart controllers and irrigation systems, with an estimated 500 hours for primary services and 50 hours for traffic control. The contract includes a maximum allowable expenditure of $10,000 for unforeseen materials, supplies, parts, fees, and permits.
The addendum introduces two key modifications to the original solicitation: first, bidders must now be a certified small business (SB or MB) or a Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) with the Department of General Services; second, the Price Quote Proposal Attachment 1 has been revised, with bidders required to use the new version or risk having their submission deemed non-responsive. The solicitation emphasizes that the estimated quantities are for comparison purposes only, with no guarantee of exact quantities, and requires all line items to be quoted to maintain responsiveness.
