About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) #10A2875 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Administration Division of Procurement and Contracts for structural beam replacement and repair services across Alpine, Amador, Mariposa, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne Counties. The project requires contractors to furnish all labor, materials, parts, tools, equipment, and legal disposal necessary to complete structural beam replacement and repair work at multiple locations, with work scopes detailed in IFB 10A2875, Exhibit A. The addendum revises the project schedule, establishing mandatory site inspections on April 15, 2026, at three locations: Woodfords at 9:00 a.m., Ione at 11:30 a.m., and Stockton Landscape at 1:30 p.m. The deadline for written question submittal is April 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with the final bid submission date extended to April 28, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. (previously April 23, 2026). Bid opening is scheduled for April 28, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., with an estimated award date of May 7, 2026.

The total estimated budget for the entire project is $415,000.00. The addendum addresses 25 questions submitted by prospective bidders concerning specific scopes of work at individual properties, including structural beam repairs, roofing repairs, retaining wall repairs, exterior panel replacement, and wood framing repairs. Key clarifications indicate that wood supports running horizontally will not be replaced, the swamp cooler at Ione will be temporarily removed and remounted by the contractor, and repair methods will require approval from the awarded contractor. The addendum confirms that retaining wall repairs, exterior panels, and roofing repairs remain in the scope of work despite bidder inquiries requesting their removal. All other terms and conditions of the original IFB remain in full force and effect.
