About this file

This document is Addendum #1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB #01-HCC032025) issued by Haywood Community College, specifically addressing vendor questions related to training requirements for an injection molding machine procurement. The addendum provides clarification on two key points: first, confirming that training will be provided on-site and scheduled after installation completion, and second, addressing a vendor inquiry about process training. The document indicates that the manual startup by the installation technician will suffice, and no separate process training will be required or included in the bid.

The addendum does not introduce new pricing information or substantially alter the original bid specifications. It serves to provide direct responses to vendor questions, ensuring clarity around the training expectations for the injection molding machine being procured for the college's computer-integrated machining training program. The responses suggest a straightforward approach to vendor communication, focusing on providing concise and definitive answers to potential bidder inquiries without introducing complex additional requirements or modifications to the original bid terms.

Addendum #1 Answers to Vendor Questions

IFB #01-HCC032025

QUESTION ANSWER

IFB Section 5.1 page 12, Item 1i, -

"Training must be provided on-site. This will need to be scheduled and dates agreed upon by HCC once installation is complete"

Yes, Training will be scheduled and dates agreed upon by HCC once the installation is completed.

There is no line item for "Process Training" on "Attachment A - Pricing". However, Item 6 on "Attachment A - Pricing", includes a Manual Startup by the installation technician, is that sufficient? If separate process training is required, please include a pricing line item for training.

Separate process training is not required and will not be included in this bid.
