About this file

This document is an addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) for the procurement of deodorant bar soap and all-in-one liquid soap for use by the state's inmate population. The addendum provides the department's responses to written questions submitted by vendors. The solicitation seeks to secure responsive bids from responsible vendors to provide these hygiene items to be delivered to various correctional facilities throughout the state. The ITB requires vendors to provide specific brand name items and indicates that the majority of orders will be placed quarterly, although orders may be placed at any time. Bids are due by November 17, 2022 at 2:00 pm Eastern Time.

The addendum clarifies pricing and case quantity requirements, and confirms that the contract will be awarded to a single vendor. It also specifies that the soap must be unwrapped and contain no animal fat. The current contract for these items and past bid tabulation information are provided. The Department indicates it will not accept alternate brands and samples are not required with the bid submission.
