About this file

This is Addendum #001 for ITB-25-005 issued by the Florida Department of Corrections (FDC) for Apparel and Linen Fabrics, Vinyl, and Other Bulk Textiles. The bid submission deadline is February 24, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The addendum, dated January 28, 2025, contains written responses to bidder questions regarding sample requirements, delivery timeframes, and award structure. The Department clarifies that while they cannot provide samples to bidders at this time, the winning Contractor must provide production samples of each bulk textile listed in Attachment I-Price Sheet before contract award. Delivery requirements are firmly set at 30 days from Purchase Order issuance, with vendors expected to maintain sufficient inventory to meet this timeline despite concerns about overseas manufacturing timeframes.

The Department declined a request to award the contract by group, referring bidders to Section 5.7.1 Basis of Award for details. The addendum includes protest procedures and filing requirements under Florida Statutes Chapter 120, with specific instructions for submitting protests to the Agency Clerk at the Office of General Counsel in Tallahassee.

Question Number Question Answer

Regarding FDC ITB-25-005, are you able to supply swatches for each of the items required?

Additionally, will you require production samples for approval once the contract is awarded?

Lastly, I see you are requesting 30 day delivery which is almost impossible since these items would be manufactured overseas. It would be more in the vicinity of 90 days. Is this acceptable?

No. The Department is unable to provide samples at this time.

Yes. Before the contract is awarded, the Contractor must provide a production sample of each bulk textile listed in Attachment I-Price Sheet.

No. All deliveries shall arrive within 30 days of Purchase Orders (PO) issuance, as described in Section 4.1.3., Delivery. The Department expects the Vendor to maintain inventory efficiently enough for a 30-day delivery.

2 Can you please provide a sample of the requested 12 oz/sqyd Clear Vinyl fabric?

Please see the Department’s Answer to Question Number 1.

3 We respectfully ask if you would consider awarding this by group.
