About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid (ITB) issued by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) for the Northeast Florida State Hospital (NEFSH) Laundry Upgrade Project. The project involves utility and infrastructure modifications to upgrade the laundry building and equipment at NEFSH. The addendum clarifies that the gas line, valves, and new return duct for the HVAC system will be included in the base bid, while the pipe from the valve to the units and the duct work will be under Alternate #2. The electrical equipment, including the new gear and power to the HVAC disconnects, will be in the base bid, while the conduit, wire, and duct work will fall under Alternate #2. The project must be completed by December 31, 2026.
The contract will be awarded to a qualified vendor who can meet the terms of the solicitation. The anticipated commencement date for the project will be provided in the Notice to Proceed, which will be issued after the contract is signed and submittals are approved. The current equipment manufacturer, GA Braun Inc., is aware of this phase of the project, which includes the gas line, block walls, and installation of new equipment.

IN reference to this bid that was just posted, as we are the current equipment manufacturer, I was wondering if this phase of the project is solely for the gas line and block walls or will this also include actual new equipment?
Refer to Exhibit L Technical Specifications and Drawings. This Project is for all required equipment and equipment installation. This includes gas line, dryers, electrical, architectural work, and all mechanical work in the building. Also, refer to General Services Standard Contract Part 2 this includes the Scope of work, which includes what work is required and the sequence and multi-phase operation.
