About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 issued by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for Solicitation No. 2025019, a re-advertisement for Osborne Reef Restoration Waste Tire Abatement Services. The addendum provides responses to prospective vendor questions regarding the solicitation, clarifying key aspects of the project. The contract focuses on removing tires from the 2024 Survey Area, with the intent of obtaining an additional contractor to perform work. The contract has an initial seven-year term, and the DEP is open to completing the project prior to the full term. No pre-response conference will be held, and contractors will be responsible for obtaining all applicable permits to conduct work throughout the survey area.

The addendum reveals several modifications from the original solicitation, including the removal of the Foreign State Preference Opinion Form, changes to sections on pre-response conferences, available points, and the price sheet. More than one contractor will be permitted to work in the 2024 survey area, with the DEP coordinating work efforts to avoid disruption. The contract does not authorize permitted areas, but contractors must obtain their own permits defining their work area. All activities will be conducted in the 2024 survey area, with the primary objective of removing all tires from this location. There are no financial restraints or specific reasons for extending the contract beyond the initial seven-year term.
