About this file

This document is a Construction Bid Addendum for the St. Louis Correctional Facility ADA Egress Infrastructure project, issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) State Facilities Administration Design and Construction Division. The addendum provides updates to the project scope, including changes to the sidewalk design, revisions to permit requirements, and modifications to the allowable working hours. The bid opening date is May 17, 2023, and the project has a 90-day substantial completion timeline from the pre-construction meeting or notice to proceed, with $500 per day liquidated damages after that. The project includes installing new concrete ramps and replacing concrete walks at several buildings, adding a concrete pad for parking, and extending an existing carport structure.

The addendum also includes details on the bid submission process, required forms, and preferences for Michigan-based businesses and products. The contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying for all required permits, as well as managing and supervising the work on-site. The owner will retain a professional to perform inspections and testing, but the contractor is responsible for full testing responsibilities.
