About this file
This is an ADA Requirements document issued by the City of Tampa related to accessibility compliance for information, media, and communication technology (ICT) products and services in government solicitations. The document establishes mandatory accessibility requirements that proposers must address when submitting responses to City bids, procurements, and RFP/RFQs. Specifically, the City is seeking plastic front end loading containers with lids of various sizes for the Solid Waste & Environmental Program Management Department, with containers requiring hot stamped or molded production dates and sequential inventory numbers at least one inch in height. The contract term is one (1) year, and all proposals must be accompanied by accessibility compliance documentation as part of the written response, though this documentation is excluded from any maximum page limits imposed on proposals.
Proposers are required to submit comprehensive accessibility information including an Accessibility Conformance Report based on the Voluntary Product Accessibility Template demonstrating conformance to WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Section 508 standards, a supplemental accessibility report detailing evaluation methods and features for persons with disabilities, remediation plans for non-conforming features, accessibility improvement plans, and training descriptions with associated costs. The City reserves the right to conduct demonstrations and hands-on testing of proposed ICT items prior to award to verify conformance accuracy, requiring proposers to provide final commercially available release versions and an Accessibility Test Plan illustrating typical user scenarios. Testing products from unsuccessful proposers will be returned at each proposer's expense, while successful proposer products will be retained and accounted for in any resultant order or returned at the proposer's expense if no immediate order is issued.
