About this file

This document is an Addendum to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) from the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for Goat Grazing Services. The IFB requests a contractor to provide Boer goats or equivalent to graze on approximately 566 acres of the State Water Project in the vicinity of Byron, California. The goal is to break up the horizontal and vertical continuity of vegetation for area inspections and fuel reduction. The expected duration for each grazing job is around 180 days, and this is the first time DWR has utilized these services. The IFB addresses encroachment permits, access to waterways for livestock, removal of hemlock, and the ability to mix goats and sheep.

The Recycled Content Certification form, Exhibit D Attachment 1, is required for this state contract. While no specific pricing terms, set-asides, or funding details are provided, the document indicates this contract is for the state of California, specifically in Contra Costa County.
