About this file
This Request for Information (RFI) is issued by the United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM) C5ISR Center to conduct market research for an acoustic Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) detection solution for dismounted soldiers. The RFI seeks complete systems or subsystems capable of passively detecting Group 1 (<20 lbs.) and Group 2 (21-55 lbs.) UAS through acoustic signatures, with near real-time functionality in varied environments and weather conditions. Preferred capabilities include UAS localization, classification, Nett Warrior and TAK integration, on-the-move detection, low power consumption, embedded detection algorithms, and low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) hardware.
Responses must be submitted by Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at 4:00 PM EST, with unclassified submissions sent to a specified Army email address and classified/CUI responses submitted via encrypted channels. Only U.S. citizens are authorized to respond, and the government desires unlimited data rights. The RFI emphasizes that this is solely for information and planning purposes, does not constitute a solicitation, and will not reimburse respondent costs. The evaluation of submissions may determine whether a future solicitation will be a full and open competition or set aside for specific small business designations.

APPROVED FOR PUBLIC RELEASE
Acoustic Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Detection and Localization for Dismount Request for Information (RFI)
Background:
The United States Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center, Research and Technology Integration (RTI) Directorate is performing market research to inform future requirements and/or develop prototype capabilities in support of an acoustic dismounted Group 1 (<20 lbs.) and Group 2 (21-55 lbs.) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) detection system. The desired system shall passively detect UAS signatures through acoustics to determine location, bearing and classification of the target. The system will then notify a Soldier through their smart device and display the location of the detected UAS via Tactical Assault Kit (TAK). Responses including complete systems and/or individual subsystems that can perform on low Size, Weight, and Power (SWaP) hardware suitable for dismount including but not limited to UAS detection algorithms, hardware solutions, software applications, and dismount displays are welcome.
Requested Information:
The C5ISR Center requests the following information:
1. Company Information:
• Company Name
• Company Address
• RFI Technical POC Name, Email Address, and Phone number
• RFI Business/Contract POC Name, Email Address, and Phone number
