Statement of Work for the G-VI 650 Simulator
Group II Aircraft requirements are as follows:
Overview:
Flight Program Operations request training for Aviation Safety Inspectors (ASI). This request is for rental of a GVI 650 Simulator to be utilized for currency flight training.
This is an annual requirement for continued Event Base Currency (EBC) for all Inspectors performing pilot evaluating, testing and checking (certification) job functions in aircraft.
Background:
The FAA has an annual requirement for rental of a GVI 650 Simulator for training all Aviation Safety Inspectors assigned to the Flight Program. All inspectors performing pilot evaluating, testing, and checking (certification) job functions in aircraft must perform the Group II Tasks as described below. The EBC Program requires tasks as a minimum during each calendar quarter for Inspector assigned the Required Tasks.
Scope of Work:
The FAA Aviation Safety Inspector is to maintain skills in the GVI 650 and Event Base Currency (EBC). The EBC Program required tasks that all inspectors performing pilot evaluating, testing, and checking (certification) job functions in aircraft must be trained as a minimum during each calendar quarter. We are requesting a one year period of performance from date of this award.
Objectives:
Preflight – Performance, CRM, AFM Review, Collision avoidance procedures and Runway incursion avoidance procedures. Six Takeoffs – One instrument takeoff (reduced visibility), One crosswind takeoff, One rejected takeoff, One normal takeoff, One takeoff pilot’s choice (i.e. wind shear, high altitude airport operations), One v1 cut takeoff, and three night takeoffs (when night job functions are performed).Inflight – One steep turn, three approaches to stalls, one power plant failure and one aircraft-specific maneuver (if required by AFM). Six Landings – One crosswind landing, one landing from a precision approach, on landing no flap (not required in airplane if prohibited by AFM), one landing with simulated power plant failure, one landing from circling approach, one rejected landing and three night landings (when night job functions are performed). Instrument Procedures – One area departure, One en route procedure, One holding, One area arrival, two precision approaches, two non-precision approaches, One circling approach, one missed approach and one unusual attitude recovery. Emergency/Abnormal Procedures – One emergency procedure and one abnormal procedure.
