About this file
This document is a justification for a sole source task order extension. The Missile Defense Agency is extending an existing task order with L3Harris to complete airworthiness flight testing and deliver a technical data package for follow-on competition of Airborne Sensors operations and sustainment. Market research conducted in July 2023 for the follow-on contract identified L3Harris as the only source capable of completing the work under the task order extension, which is necessary to transition the program and allow competition for the subsequent contract awarded in September 2021. No cost or pricing data was required as this is a no-cost time extension to an existing agreement in order to transition the program and collect additional data for full and open competition on future sustainment efforts.
