About this file

This document is a Justification for Sole Source Purchase from the 72nd Test and Evaluation Squadron (72 TES) of the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command. The 72 TES is requesting to procure six specific part numbers of LED switches from Applied Avionics Inc. to support B-2A aircraft data collection during critical airborne testing. The sole source justification cites that the equipment is flight qualified and only available from the manufacturer, Applied Avionics Inc., with no other sources or substitutes available. The statutory authority for the sole source procurement is 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as no other supplier can meet the agency's requirements. The 72 TES states that not purchasing these items will jeopardize their ability to maintain adequate data collection equipment for B-2 developmental and operational flight testing.
