AAHRU Purchasing Specifications of in vivo imaging equipment.
The equipment needs to be equivalent to the IVIS Lumina Series III in vivo imaging instrument in the following categories:
1. The imager has a thermoelectrically cooled CCD camera; 13 X 13 mm, back-thinned and illuminated grade 1 CCD Camera controller, 50 mm f 0.95 lens and field of view: 5x5 cm to 12.5x12.5 cm.
2. The imager has gas anesthesia inlet and outlet ports for connection with gas anesthesia machine and heated sample stage: ambient to 40ºC.
3. The fluorescence module has 19 excitation filters, 7 emission filters, background subtraction capability for minimizing auto fluorescence related signal to background issues; and the ability to perform spectral unmixing.
4. The instrument has spectral library generation software tools with software-controlled excitation/emission filter selection, extended NIR range 150W tungsten EKE excitation light source and top illumination.
5. The instrument includes a computer and 20-inch, high-resolution flat screen monitor with control software, including one (1) acquisition copy of imaging software and four (4) analysis copies of imaging software.
