About this file

This is Amendment #1 to RFP AAC-26-014 issued by Alaska Aerospace Corporation (AAC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aurora Launch Services, clarifying manufacturer requirements for a Mechanical Subcontractor solicitation. The amendment, dated July 27, 2026, was issued five days after the original RFP posting on July 21, 2026. The primary purpose of this amendment is to establish that any manufacturer, brand name, model number, or product identified in the drawings or specifications serves as a basis of design only and does not restrict competition or mandate the use of specific manufacturers. Contractors are permitted to propose equivalent products from alternative manufacturers provided the proposed products meet or exceed all applicable performance, quality, dimensional, compatibility, and installation requirements contained in the RFP, drawings, and specifications.

Contractors proposing substitutions or equivalent products must submit these proposals for Alaska Aerospace Corporation review and approval, with the contractor bearing full responsibility for providing comprehensive product data and supporting documentation demonstrating compliance with all solicitation requirements. All other terms and conditions of RFP AAC-26-014 remain unchanged by this amendment. The contract manager is Duffy Goodner, PMP, who can be reached at 907-413-2305 or Duffy.goodner.ctr@akaerospace.gov. No pricing, set-asides, incumbent information, or specific funding details are included in this amendment document.
