WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE MISSOURI 65305
16 July 2024
SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
Introduction:
The 72d Test Evaluation Squadron (TES) needs an additional equipment item from Applied Avionics Inc. The procurement of avionic switch assemblies is required to share aircraft data with various range control rooms. This capability will allow developmental and operational test data to be recorded and verified.
Background
The 72d TES requires Applied Avionics Inc, avionic LED switch assemblies designed to be part of a flight approved avionics data collection instrumentation system. The equipment items being procured are needed to support B-2 Operational and Developmental Flight Test.
Objectives:
Applied Avionics Inc will provide the avionic LED switch assemblies that will integrate with the B-2 airborne data collection system. The compiled avionics data will be disseminated via the instrumentation system to various range control rooms for engineer inspection. This data format is standard protocol for flight test, where software tools and equipment can be shared with end users. This equipment item is an approved product for this system.
Special Requirements/Constraints:
Applied Avionics Inc will deliver 33 avionic LED switch assemblies within a reasonable production limited timeline but not after December 31, 2025. Applied Avionics products will be warranted and serviced within legal limits.
Deliverables:
Applied Avionics Inc will deliver 33 avionic LED switch assemblies. The equipment item will interface into Air Force required B-2 instrumentation systems. The units will be delivered with up-to-date software for immediate implementation.
