About this file
This is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS) Contracting Office to conduct market research for an upcoming Wire Rope Replacement Services contract. The sources sought document is intended to identify industrial capabilities and determine the best procurement approach for this requirement. The Navy has not yet committed to issuing a formal solicitation and explicitly states this sources sought does not constitute a Request for Quote or promise of future procurement. Responses will be used solely for planning and market research purposes, with no payment provided to respondents for their information or administrative costs.
The solicitation may be set-aside for small business in full or in part, or procured through full and open competition with unrestricted participation, with current Government intent for a single award. All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring SAM.gov for any future formal solicitation release. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted, and the Government will not provide evaluations or feedback on sources sought responses. Participation in this pre-solicitation activity is not required and does not preclude companies from bidding on any subsequent formal solicitation if issued.
