About this file
This document is a Notice of Intent to Sole Source for a radiofrequency (RF) modular testbed with an anechoic chamber, issued by the Department of the Interior's Interior Business Center on behalf of the Department of Defense. The government intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price contract to Scientific Applications & Research Associates, Inc. (SARA) located in Colorado Springs, CO, for a specialized testing facility with specific technical requirements.
The proposed anechoic chamber must be 16' x 40' x 9' 6", weatherproof, climate-controlled, and capable of operating in a humid subtropical environment with temperatures between 60-80°F. Technical specifications include handling radiofrequencies from 1 MHz to 40 GHz, running on 208 3-phase power, being equipped with RF-shielded cameras, and mirroring the chamber design used at Army Research Laboratories. The procurement includes transport and installation at an undetermined facility in Florida. While this is a sole source notice, responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five calendar days of publication for potential competitive consideration.
