VirTra computer simulation equipment

Summary of the facts and circumstances that support the determination that only one source is reasonably available to supply the required supplies or services, or only the specified brand-name items can satisfy the Government’s need:

The Atlanta Division will use the VirTra computer simulation equipment to provide Use of Force (UOF) training to the field offices in accordance with DEA and DOJ policy. The VirTra system is used to provide DEA and DOJ Use of Force policy training to Special Agents, task Force Officers, and Diversion Tactical operations using simulated firearm scenarios. This training will prevent the degradation of perishable mission-critical skills. The training enables DEA law enforcement officers to maintain the high level of proficiency necessary for them to safely and legally carry out their duties. VirTra is the sole proprietor.

Only one source is deemed to be reasonably available.

Only the specified brand-name item will satisfy the Government’s need.
