About this file
This document is a Sole Source Justification for a federal purchase order over $10,000 but not exceeding $250,000. It describes the requirement for a communications upgrade to an armored Toyota Landcruiser for conducting operations in Bogota, Colombia. The sole source is Battelle, which has been contracted by the State Department to handle the armoring process for overseas vehicles. The purchase order is a recurring requirement with a delivery date of 2/28/2025. The total estimated dollar amount is redacted. No other vendors are able to conduct the required work due to State Department regulations. This Limited Sources Justification will be made available with the solicitation and posted on SAM.gov.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice from the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) to award a sole source purchase order to Battelle for a Vehicle Communication Upgrade requirement. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 336211. Vendors that feel they can meet the requirements may submit a capability statement by the closing date of June 6, 2024. The Government anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price purchase order and reserves the right not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses received.
