Sources Sought Notice Summary

This is a Sources Sought Notice (SSN) issued by the National Park Service Denver Service Center for bridge preservation work at Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming (Solicitation No. 140P2026R0073). The notice is for market research purposes only; no proposals are being requested or accepted at this time. Responses are requested from both large and small businesses to determine the feasibility of a small business set-aside and to inform the acquisition strategy. The information gathered will be used to analyze market capacity and quality of potential contractors.

The project involves preservation work on three bridges (Lava Creek Bridge, Thumb Creek Bridge, and Unnamed Creek Bridge) accessible from West Yellowstone and Gardiner, Montana. Work scope includes concrete spall repair, crack sealing, stone masonry repointing, structural concrete repairs, expansion joint maintenance, bridge railing repairs and painting, hydro-demolition, epoxy overlay, erosion repair, pavement markings, site clearing, and traffic control. Top-down construction methodology is required for Thumb and Unnamed Creek bridges. The project is classified under NAICS code 237310 (Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction) with a $45 million size standard. The Government anticipates a competitive fixed-price solicitation around Winter 2026/Early 2027, with an anticipated period of performance of 155 calendar days and a total price expectation between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. Contractors must accommodate one-lane closures with maximum 15-minute delays, protect sensitive archaeological and natural resources, comply with daily work schedules in sensitive areas, and manage logistics to minimize visitor impact while the park remains open. Responses to the Sources Sought Survey Questionnaire must be submitted by 28 May 2026 at 2:00 PM Mountain Time to shellie_murphy@ios.doi.gov.
