About this file
This Sources Sought Notice (SSN) is issued by the National Park Service Denver Service Center for a seawall reconstruction project at Castillo de San Marcos National Monument in St. Augustine, FL. The project involves reconstructing approximately 1,355 linear feet of seawall across five segments, including demolition and construction of four new seawalls (three with sheet pile and stacked granite facade), rehabilitation of the center seawall, demolition of an existing fee booth, construction of new walkways, and replacement of utility infrastructure. The estimated construction value exceeds $10 million, with a 550-calendar day performance period, and is classified under NAICS code 237990 with a $45.0M size standard.
The National Park Service anticipates releasing a competitive Request for Proposals (RFP) in Fall 2025 for a single Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract. Interested contractors are required to complete a Sources Sought Survey Questionnaire and submit responses by 4:00 PM Mountain Time on August 1, 2025, to joseph_wingfield@nps.gov. The project will occur in an urban setting with the park remaining open during construction, requiring careful scheduling to minimize visitor impact. Bonding (Bid, Performance, and Payment) is anticipated, and the government will evaluate responses to potentially determine a small business or socio-economic set-aside for the solicitation.
