SOURCES SOUGHT (MARKET SURVEY)
Comfort Stations #57 & 66 (Reference 140P6321B0014)
The National Park Service (NPS) is conducting a market survey to determine the interest and capability of vendors for a possible upcoming project. All costs associated with providing information in response to this market survey shall be the responsibility of the firm. Any information submitted is voluntary. The Contracting Officer will make an acquisition strategy decision based on the results of this market survey and a future solicitation may be issued as unrestricted without further consideration.
This is not an invitation for bid (IFB) or request for proposal (RFP) and does not constitute any commitment by the Government to issue any solicitation. All interested firms must respond to future solicitation announcements separately from responses to this market survey. Any solicitation that may be issued will be posted on Beta.Sam.Gov
Project Description: The work involves the construction and placement of two new comfort stations at the South Unit’s Cottonwood Campground and the demolition and removal of the two old comfort stations.
Asbestos Abatement: The existing comfort station buildings have been tested and are confirmed to both have asbestos in some of the building components. It is the contractor’s responsibility to remove the asbestos prior to demolition of each building. Asbestos removal and disposal must be accomplished by a licensed Asbestos Abatement contractor and conducted in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Demolition and Removal: Demolish existing comfort stations #57 & #66. The demolition and removal of the existing comfort stations will need to be done prior to preparation and installation of the new ADA/ABA accessible comfort stations.
Site Preparation: This includes leveling and compaction of site pad and all rough-in utility lines are serviceable and ready to connect to. Prior to delivery and installation of comfort stations in the spring, the contractor will ensure the building pad is prepared to receive the building.
Delivery/Install: Deliver and install two prefabricated comfort stations in the South Unit’s Cottonwood Campground. Building designs will meet or exceed all ABAAS/ADA requirements and will be constructed to the floor plan design specifications prescribed in the Scope of Work. These restrooms will be configured to include a total of 4 sinks, 5 toilets, one urinal, and 4 hand dryers. Also, installation of ABA accessible sidewalks around perimeter of each newly installed comfort stations.
Project Location: Cottonwood Campground Comfort Station #57 & 66, Theodore Roosevelt National Park 315 2nd Ave, Medora, ND 58645.
Project Performance Period: 270 calendar days
